The patio furniture is showing its age.
This was our third time staying at Chango Villa and it is the only villa our group wants to rent.Teresa had salsa waiting for us when we arrived and Fernando had the place spotless.All the bedrooms are large with their own bath.Kitchen is always well stocked and living area has plenty of room.The pool is great to hang out in and watch the sunset.Our dive operator, Cha Cha Cha picked us up at the beach.Thanks again to Teresa and Fernando for all the work they do at the villa and Annette @ At Home in Cozumel foe helping us with another wonderful stay at Chango Villa.
Our second stay at Chango Villa and it was as wonderful as before. The cooks made fabulous meals, especially catering to the children's tastes. The household staff are great as well. The house has a great layout for a large group. We had a blast. We only went to town once. It is convenient having Carlos and Charlie's just a few doors down the beach.
The villa was outstanding and perfect for our family group. The cooks were an added bonus and I am so happy we requested their services. They prepared wonderful meals and our family picked up several of their recipes.
We absolutely loved our stay. The only complaints we had were: the lighting in the bathrooms is way too dim and there should be a trellis or some other form of blocking from the house to the south. When both houses are occupied, you need something to give you a little privacy when you are out on the patios. Otherwise, the place was fabulous and the service was excellent. We will absolutely return.
The 5 bedrooms on the 2 main floors were great - king beds, with en suite baths, but the 2 bedrooms downstairs were dark and small, and we were glad we didn't need them. The lowest floor would make a good teenager/kids escape area, though. The infinity pool was always very clean and refreshingly cool.
Our group of 10 could not have been more pleased with our selection of Chango Villa. The property was in amazing condition, decorated well and situated the perfect distance for walking to Carlos & Charlies for an afternoon burger and beers. We chose the meal plan and ther meals were nothing short of spectacular! Luis, Edgar and Teresa were amazing. We also highly recommend Living Under Water Diving - this villa's location made it possible to be picked up at the beach for our daily diving excursion. No doubt 5 stars and we are already planning a return visit.
We love the Chango and the Dos. There are 26 of us that get together every 2 years and go to Cozumel and stay at these houses. It is a GREAT location with GREAT staff. We wouldn't stay anywhere else!!
There was 12 of us and the design of the home worked out great for our family and friends. The staff was amazing. The property was very clean and in excelent condition. We got the food service ..What a treat ..Teresa and Fernando keeped the property clean and fresh towels out at all times. Javier the Mexico porperty manager made sure we had all we needed.We have rented many vacation homes, you don't always get what you think you are this case we got more...We loved this property. We do plan on coming back and have many friends that are interested in leasing the porperty aswell. Also thank you to the Florida group for everything being so organized and so informative.
We are a group of friends, 7 couples. All said it was so nice having a king bed, plus their own bath! The villa is beautiful. The staff was helpful, and kept the place spotless, in and out. Downs - the tile (in & out) is very slippery when damp. No alarm clocks in bedrooms. (yeah, It's a vacation, but when you have a 7AM excursion, you need an alarm!!). A couple of hot water, water pressure problems, space showers out a little. Rocky going into the sea, you really need some type of aqua shoe, but cool when just looking to see what was there! Needs a large freezer to store ice!! Ups - beautiful views. Plenty of space, no one felt crowded. Beautiful water. Parking was good. Close to beach club (closes by 4-4:30), a little shopping and piers for off shore excursions. Beautiful. A few said the beds were hard, but then said their backs felt better! Enjoyed watching the para sailing. We cooked in every day, the kitchen is arranged so seveeral could be cooking and cleaning at the same time. Had laundry done - that was nice. Had some groceries and drinks purchased in advance, was good to have. The pool is not heated so it really wasn't warm enough to swim in, a big disapointment, but we did enjoy sitting at the edge and a few were brave enough to get in for a short time. No problems using laptops, good cell service (don't know what that cost!!). All in all, it was a great time. Should have read the guest book the first night, lots of good information. Would we go again? No one wanted to leave, it was a sad morning. FYI - some rented cars, some used taxis, both had advantages and in the end cost was close to the same, just depends on how you used them. MEGA (apx Calle 15, S of the piers) we compared to Wal Mart - if it isn't there, you really don't need it!!!! Enjoy, we did!!
Second trip there. Property and staff are always top notch. Luis (cook service) was outstanding as usual.
Had a wonderful time, great place to have a vacation, clean, tidy and maid service every day. Have to congratulate the staff at the Villa they were friendly, helpful and always there to help out if we needed something. The Villa was exactly as portrayed in their website and even pictures did not do it justice. If we go back to Cozumel again we will definitely stay at Chango Villa.
Chango Villa is spacious and layed out very nicely for large families and groups. We love San Fransico Beach and the diving on the local reefs. The villa is well maintained and the staff is very friendly. We hired the cook service for 6 of the 10 days and it was excellent. I would highly recommend this villa for any large groups staying on Cozumel!
Chango is perfect for a group such as yours' this coming year we hope it will be even better., The owner is always upgrading and making things better and more comfortable for the guests. The location is already perfect!!!. At Home In Cozumel
This is our second time staying at the Chango Villa and we plan on going back. Everyone was great to work with from the person we talked to about our reservation to the property manager when we arrived. We love the couple who live on the property they are the best!! Our experience was outstanding!!!
The only downer was I left my camera outside by the pool the last night and it was missing the next morning.
Glad you liked the place. Sorry about the camera. A location like that is so paradisical that it's easy to forget that it's not quite Paradise. Hope you'll come back real soon.
Our week at Chango Villa was one of our best vacations ever. We had a group of 10 people and we were treated like royalty. The accomodations were terrific. The meal plan is the only way to go. Wonderful food and great service. The entire staff worked very hard to make sure we had a great vacation and they were successful. We plan to return in the future.
We've used two of the properties on that beach and have loved being there! By far, Chango is a nicer house! We used the cook service when we stayed at Chango and LOVED that as well. I'm not sure we could find a reason to not use the house again!
We loved Chango Villa so much, we stayed there 2 years in a row. The house is large, beautiful and right on a lovely white sand beach or you can stay close to home and swim in the pool. The staff is great and we had a terrific cook. You don't have to worry about a thing when you stay at Chango!
We had a great time at Cozumel. The caretakers were wonderful and made great guacamole and salsa. We all slept comfortably and the teenagers loved having their own space. Part of us dove each day and the others could snorkle at the house. Carlos and Charlie's is a short walk down the beach and there is a friendly eel hiding in a rock there.
We loved our stay and had such an enjoyable time, we plan to return often!
Beautiful home. We had 4 families stay and we had plenty of room. The only downside is the beach... a little rocky getting in to the water and quite busy at times. FUN FOR ALL!
