Lovely Rental at a Reasonable Price; Car Recommended
James S from Washington, DC recommends this property

We stayed here for a week on a dive vacation and the facilities and unit were great. Nice pools and beach, although if you want to get in the water, water shoes are recommended as the entry is rocky.
I would also recommend renting a car for your trip as well. Taxis are a bit of a cartel on the island, and taking them could quickly add up. For example, a ride from Residencias to El Centro will run you about $15 one way. The freedom of having the car is great
and spending some time on the east side of the island is a must. If you get lost, the locals are more than happy to help.
We mostly cooked in the unit, taking full advantage of the great local produce, but a couple of restaurants I would recommend:
La Casa Mission - Located in a lovely garden setting with a mix of Mexican and Continental, and a free tequila tour afterwards. When we went, there were only a few patrons, mostly couples, all of whom enjoyed dancing to romantic Mariachi music.
Parilla Mission - Downscale sister to La Casa Mission. Great Mexican food for an amazing price. The Arrachera is a must. We met up with friends that happened to be on the island, and for four of us it only cost ~$30, and the staff even went out to get milk
for the other couple's baby.
If you just want to be somewhere with a crowd as well, there are a couple of cruise-shipper spots right down the beach from Residencias with your standard selection of beach food and beverages.
Great location, great vacation.
